*Logistician (Waterfront)

Job Description:  The Senior Engineer provides integrated logistics support in conjunction with the team providing engineering and technical support to the Engineering and Planning Department (EPD) of the Ships Availability Planning and Engineering Center (SHAPEC).  Develop, test and deliver configuration and logistic management systems designed to provide clients with logistics technology to ensure effective and economical support for manufacturing and servicing products, systems or equipment.  Plan and develop logistics program activities, coordinate efforts of personnel at the contractor’s site as well as at remote locations, and resolve logistics problems to meet contractual commitment.  Perform all duties of the Configuration Management Agent.  

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Minimum Required:
  • Experience with Navy logistics processes such as maintenance of Ship's Configuration and Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS), Configuration Data Manager's Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), and experience with procurement of researching ships material and tracking logistics data such as: spare parts, drawings, tech manuals, COTS manuals, training material
  • Experience reading / interpreting engineering drawings, revision notices (RNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and equipment/component specifications

Degree Requirements:

• Minimum Required:
  • High school/vocational school degree or GED certificate. 

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
