JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position works administering the protective investigations training aspect of the Family Safety Program.  It serves as a primary source representative of the Department, and Circuit 2 and Circuit 14 service area.  It increases the positive visibility of the Department and serves as a catalyst for the provison of more rapid resolution of operational programs of direct services to clients. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Managing of Protective Investigations training units in Circuits 2 and 14.
  • Monitoring and ensuring accomplishment of programmatic and managerial goals and objectives for the above mentioned units in accordance with statewide and district goals and objectives.
  • Management and delivery of preservice training for all child protective investigators in Circuits 2 and 14.
  • Conducting special quality assure reviews upon request.
  • Handling of investigations of special incidents and/or complaints regarding Department programs.
  • Coordinating with the Program Administrators the development and implementation of corrective actions in order to improve service delivery.
  • Managing the training budget and approving and processing vouchers, invoices and requisitions.
  • Administering the assessment of staff development needs and securing needed in service training.
  • Overseeing and track certification process for all child protective investigators and Supervisors in Circuits 2 and 14.
  • Administering the assessment of staffing needs and, when vacancies occur, providing consultation to Operations Program Administrators and line supervisors in screening, interviewing and hiring of direct service employees.
  • Coordinating and facilitating of community training requests within Circuits 2 and 14.
  • Providing case consultation when needed or requested.
