(Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - Infrastructure Engineer

We support our customers in making buildings more climate-friendly, more comfortable and more affordable with connected real estate, simple products and high processing and service quality. We provide our customers with efficient, tailored processes and applications for operating IoT infrastructures in real estate, as well as our flexible Enterprise-IoT-Suite, in which we manage data from many millions of sensors into intelligent products and services.

With a team of product and IT experts, the future position holder will be responsible for further developing beyonnex's Enterprise-IoT-Suite and services to ensure a stable and scalable technological foundation for the strategic development of the group of companies. In addition, the following tasks will be part of your position

• Together with your team, you develop and extend both our backend infrastructure and software running on embedded linux.

• Build and maintain LoRaWAN infrastructures in the buildings of our customer by developing customized software and monitoring services.

• Configure and manage our IoT devices based on embedded Linux. 

• Implement tooling, services and applications on the devices. 

• Drive the development of new products, evaluate new possibilities and make things happen. 

• You will work closely with our product experts and product owners to build the future of smart energy.

We are searching for a motivated candidate with following qualifications:

• At least 8+ years practical experience working as a Infrastructure Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields or comparable education and experience

• Experience with running large fleet of IoT devices

• Proficiency in Linux System Administration tooling (preferably in the context of Embedded Linux deployments)

• Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus etc

• Experience in development with Python, Golang or similar languages 

• Experience in developing ci/cd pipelines and internal tools and services

• Experience in running AWS infrastructure

Optionals, but nice to have:

• Background in SRE

• Experience with AWS IoT Core, LoRaWan and/or mBUS is a plus

• Experience with Java (or other JVM based languages like Kotlin)

• Understanding of GitLab pipelines
