The Job at a Glance 

As a Soda Health Senior Security Engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for enabling Sodans to move quickly, while at the same time keeping them safe and secure.  These tools and processes directly impact Soda Health’s ability to retain the trust that our members and partners have given us to protect their private health data.

What You’ll Do 

Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same.  Typical responsibilities of the role include:  

• Reviewing the security footprint and continuously improving it to produce the best outcomes

• Working with our security champions to continue to refine our cloud security controls

• Assisting colleagues who need technical help – on a rotation as part of our helpdesk function 

• Refine our SIEM and continuously improve our detection and responses to ongoing threats 

• Being an expert on threats and attack vectors to help identify gaps and improve controls 

 

About You 

While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:  

• 7-9 years of Security engineering in a professional environment 

• Familiarity with vulnerabilities, vulnerability management, and attack vectors 

• Familiarity with Incident Response and Security Operations. 

• Inspire others through compassion, understanding, and building strong relationships 

• Confidence and ability to provide supportive and critical feedback to build better ideas 

• Enthusiasm to remove obstacles and streamline business processes; always with a "how can we do this better?” attitude 

• Desire to take ownership and be autonomous but still collaborative 

• Passion to solve problems for real, everyday people 

• Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred   

Other Requirements

• Travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs
  
  
• Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request

What We Offer 

• Competitive base salary ranging from $108,675 to $124,200,
