Position Summary:
Mastery Schools is seeking to contract with experienced Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, and/or Clinical Psychologists to facilitate monthly group supervision sessions for Mastery’s group of social workers and counselors. The Clinical Group Supervisor’s goal is to facilitate growth and collaboration amongst social workers/counselors and develop the group towards meeting department outcomes for students and families. The Clinical Group Supervisor will report to the Senior Director of Psychological and Social Services. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group supervision sessions for Mastery’s social workers and counselors
  • Evaluate clinical interactions (in all situations and capacities)
  • Identify and reinforce effective actions by supervisees
  • Correct and improve any problematic or potentially ineffective treatment actions in a caring, supportive, evidence-based manner
  • Teach and demonstrate counseling techniques that can be applied to school-based services
  • Explain the rationale of strategies and interventions using appropriate literature and/or research basis where possible
  • Interpret significant events in the counseling process
  • Challenge group members (supervisees) in a constructive manner

Qualifications:

  • LCSW or LPC in PA or NJ
  • Experience in trauma informed practices
  • Ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excel in problem solving, has a sense of humor, and has a desire to provide only the highest quality services
  • Experience in urban education highly desirable but not required

Education:

  • Master’s or doctorate in Social Work or similar clinical field required
