Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Lead and manage a team of cyber risk analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber risk management framework that aligns with federal standards, including NIST, FISMA, and DoD directives.
- Conduct and oversee risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in DSCA’s information systems and networks.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls to protect DSCA’s information assets.
- Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence to inform risk management decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into all aspects of DSCA’s operations.
- Develop and maintain risk management documentation, including risk assessment reports, risk registers, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations and standards across all DSCA information systems.
- Conduct security audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide cybersecurity awareness and training programs for DSCA personnel to enhance the agency’s overall security culture.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve DSCA’s risk management framework.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen.
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cyber risk management, information security, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity regulations and standards, including NIST SP 800 series and FISMA.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
