Sr. Director, Velsipity, Xeljanz & Biosimilars Global Marketing Lead

ROLE SUMMARY

The Velsipity, Xeljanz and Biosimilars Global Marketing Senior Director will be responsible for the strategies and core content for this important portfolio of medicines.  Velsipity was acquired as the cornerstone of Pfizer’s acquisitions of Arena pharmaceuticals, Xeljanz has five indications around the world and our biosimilars portfolio includes the top selling biosimilar in history, Inflectra. 

The global commercial lead will be the point person for these brands and counterpart to both the US and International Commercial Office.  They will be the key commercial leader for these brands and partner to all research and functions and a chair or co-chair of the product GMTs.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual in this role will be leading a team of colleagues responsible for key aspects of the commercialization of these products with broad and diverse responsibilities.

• Velsipity launches around the world and sustaining momentum in key markets like the US and Japan
• Xeljanz global strategy including LOE planning
• Biosimilars alliance management and profitability optimization
• Portfolio Key Data Updates:  Align with medical on any relevant real world or investigator led studies that could benefit markets and ensure timely communication through the US and ICO.
• Supply, and Access Support:  Provide the commercial POV for any unexpected supply, pricing/access or management questions.
• People Leadership: develop and manage a group of marketers and lead cross functional teams
• Adhere to all Pfizer Standard Operating Principles while executing business strategy

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 12+ years Pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to quickly assume responsibility in complex, fast paced environment.
• Strong influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities are a must.
• Ability to bring strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level; results-oriented.
• Strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize.
• People leadership experience

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and making complex decisions quickly
• Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data and understand trends and mathematical calculations
• Ability to work on computer for extended periods using common applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

• Travel is required: Depending on home location, domestic or international travel of up to 20%

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $204,700.00 to $341,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
