Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Analytics Solutions Lead – Supply Chain Management Innovation based at our facility in Smyrna, TN.
This role has direct responsibility for supporting design, development, and implementation of an SCM portfolio of analytic & data solutions. This includes supporting SCM product owners, stakeholders, and external partners/vendors through the discovery process of defining the strategic objectives related to organizational use of data & analytical solutions, and facilitating the translation and execution of said objectives into a vision and project roadmap that supports synergies across Nissan’s SCM organization.
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
- Fundamental project management, including project planning and management throughout the development life cycle.
- Leading project discovery phase by driving solution sessions and leading data discovery workshops.
- Facilitating the development of documentation to define workflow and associated processes while maintaining SCM stakeholder/product owner communications.
- Leveraging an analytical mindset to decompose complex problems or needs into consumable components and apply solid business logic to develop relevant strategic guidance, practical planning, and clear communications.
- Defining and staying within the scope of the project, developing project schedules, and monitoring overall progress including use of resources.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices; ability to blend these together to fit a project and business environment.
- Harnessing an entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to navigate through areas of ambiguity, identify and take ownership of issues, and drive them to resolution.
- Participating and managing NNA SCM Analytics Center of Excellence, which includes SCM Data Scientists and Data Insights analysts responsible for executing and supporting analytics projects.
- Executing or assisting in vendor sourcing processes (shopping baskets, NDA, DSA, SRAQ, PSA, MSA, MRA, BT & Gov consulting policy etc.).
- Establishing and maintaining external Vendor/consultant relationship as well as University engagements and partnerships.
- Staying up to date with emerging data and analytics trends and techniques
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: BS or BA in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Experience: 10+ Years in Supply Chain Management, technical consulting, or project management.
- Demonstrated ability to plan organization-wide strategies and effectively communicate to executives, supply chain managers, and analysts.
- Ability to manage and track multiple projects across various supply chain teams.
- Ability to create and manage relationships with outside vendors and internal teams.
- Work as a member of a team while also being a self-motivator with ability to work independently.
- Interest in technology, and comfort interacting with Nissan Digital Team members on tools and services/products available through the Nissan Digital Tool Stack.
- Knowledge & understanding of basic data architecture concept, experience with Snowflake a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of analytics concepts and how they may be applied to supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: MBA or MS in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research or Supply Chain
- Knowledge and understanding of Agile project framework (experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner is a plus) and working with project management tools (Jira).
- Experience using object-oriented scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) and interacting with workflow technologies (e.g. Salesforce, etc.).
- Familiarity with the latest RPA tooling and Intelligent Automation methodologies (e.g. UiPath).
- Demonstrated scoping and sourcing of analytics & workflow projects.
- People leadership experience.
- Strong ability to interact, communicate, present, and influence within multiple levels of the organization.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams on projects with multiple work streams & deliverables.
