Physical Therapist Assistant (Rehabilitation) - Full-Time, Part-Time and Per Diem

Description

We are growing our community -focused and hospital-based rehabilitation programs. We are actively recruiting for motivated, professional, and compassionate PTA’s to join our team. This position works in collaboration with a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled and quality rehabilitative care to our clients in the inpatient and outpatient settings as they work to regain movement and mobility due to illness, injury, aging, or other disorders. There are opportunities to work with our orthopedic clinic patients, assist in the rehabilitation of our inpatient patient population and support programs where our patient seek assistance to manage pain, meet fitness goals, or prevent injury.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will:

• Serve as a core member of the rehabilitation team. 
• Assist Physical Therapists to provide physical therapy treatments and procedures. 
• In accordance with state laws, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Outpatient/Acute Inpatient Experience (preferred)
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Vermont in good standing. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Physical Therapy evaluation, reassessment and treatment techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology. 
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.
