About the role
<p></p>
<p><b>Vestas Wind Systems seeks a dynamic Procurement Regulation Lead to navigate the evolving regulations. This strategic role ensures Global Procurement readiness for key regulations, including CBAM, Net-Zero Industry Act, the Critical Raw Materials Act, NIS2, GDPR etc. </b></p>

<p><b>Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Procurement Excellence & Sustainability</b><br/>
The qualified candidate will safeguard understanding of the regulatory landscape, translate those requirements into the Procurement landscape and support preparing the organization to comply.<br/>
The Procurement Regulation Lead will be positioned within the Procurement Excellence & Sustainability team and report to GP management quarterly about assessed impact and mitigation actions.<br/>
</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b><br/>
Regulatory Expertise: </p>
<ul>
<li>Stay abreast of regulatory developments related to CBAM, net-zero targets, and critical raw materials as well as any other relevant regulations such as NIS2, GDPR etc and interpret and communicate the implications of these regulations for Vestas' procurement processes</li>
</ul>
<p>Stakeholder Coordination: </p>
<ul>
<li>Engage with key senior stakeholders, including the Vestas Public Affairs team, Supply Chain team, and Vestas Technology teams, senior management and foster alignment and coordination across functions to ensure a cohesive response to regulatory changes</li>
<li>Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to address challenges and seize opportunities arising from new regulations </li>
</ul>
<p>Quarterly Reporting to GP Management: </p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare comprehensive reports for Vestas' Global Procurement (GP) management. And highlight the assessed impact of regulatory changes on procurement operations</li>
<li>Provide clear recommendations for mitigation actions and resource allocation </li>
</ul>
<p> Global Alignment: </p>
<ul>
<li>Work within Vestas' matrix organization to ensure consistent implementation of regulatory strategies</li>
<li>Collaborate with regional procurement teams to harmonize practices and share best practices and champion global alignment while respecting local nuances</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Master's degree (MSc, MBA, MA, MEng, MPH, MEd, MSW) in relevant field</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years in procurement, regulatory affairs, or sustainability</li>
<li>Documented success in navigating complex regulatory environments</li>
<li>Successfully implemented compliance strategies</li>
<li>Lead cross-functional teams through regulatory changes</li>
<li>Evaluated risk and developed mitigation plans</li>
<li>Collaborated with external regulatory bodies</li>
</ul>
