As a part of the Supplier Material Verification Team, this position is responsible for scheduling source inspections as well as providing remote support for inspections at suppliers. This role will directly interface with third party inspection agency leads and Supply Chain to drive compliance through the Raytheon supply base.  

What You Will Do:

  • Administer and maintain third-party Inspection Service Purchase Orders
  • Execute third-party Source Inspection Surveillance Plan
  • Manage source inspection expedites
  • Engage with inspectors and suppliers on source inspection activities.
  • Lead the deployment and execution of third-party supplier source inspection activities
  • Engage with third-party inspection agencies to support staffing plan and onboarding of qualified resources
  • Daily interaction with other cross functional teams in Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, supply chain, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office.
  • Ensures the full compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.
  • Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

Qualifications You Must Have:  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.  In absence of a degree, 9+ years of experience. 
  • Experience identifying root cause and initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions.
  • Experience with Project Administration utilizing either PRISM or SAP to accelerate the service assignment process
  • Experience with the identification and management of performance metrics to drive informed business decisions.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance after start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the aerospace/defense industry or other regulated industries i.e. automotive
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes and tools
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated leadership application.
  • Experience in leveraging 3rd party contractor support to supplement business needs.
  • High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ).
