Job Objective

The Fabrication Technician fabricates aircraft parts in accordance with the company processes and engineering.

Essential Functions

  • Fabricate aircraft parts from engineering drawings
  • Operate multiple fabricating machines
  • Form parts out of sheet metal
  • Repair fiberglass parts
  • Read and comprehend work orders

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)

  • Attention to detail
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Dexterity
  • Ability to contribute to problem-solving
  • High focus on assigned tasks within specified time frame
  • Follow directions exactly as instructed
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Sheet metal and fiberglass fabrication ability preferred
  • Cabinet building skills preferred

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Entry-level
  • Experience in Aerospace a plus

Physical Demands

  • Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling
  • Climbing heights on various equipment
  • Use of heavy machinery
  • Lifting up to 50 or more pounds

Work Environment

  • Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
  • Moderate to loud noise level

Work Status, Schedule, & Travel

  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Overtime dependent on work
  • No travel required
