Artsy is looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to play an important business support function. In this role, you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounts receivable, such as invoicing and payment collection, as well as month-end close activities, such as journal entry creation and account reconciliation. To excel in this role, you will bring sharp attention to detail, a desire to improve processes, and excitement to grow beyond the general Accounts Receivable role.
As Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will join the Accounting function at a dynamic company, reporting directly to the Controller. The Accounting team is responsible for all financial reporting, invoicing customers, and making payments to vendors. Members of the Accounting team have an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Artsy’s business and collaborate across the business to ensure that our processes and reporting reflect the company’s changing needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare timely and accurate customer invoicing for Artsy’s multiple revenue streams, maintain NetSuite records for invoice generated, payments received, and other customer information;
- Follow up and resolve collections with customers, send out periodic statements to customers for collections, communicate with customers to resolve payment issues, communicate customer payment status to internal Artsy teams;
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis during month-end close, including posting revenue recognition journal entries;
- Collaborate with other internal Artsy teams (including, but not limited to, Trust & Safety, Sales, Operations) to ensure that our processes are efficient and effective, make improvements to processes as business needs change;
- Assist during annual audit process;
- Grow outside of Accounts Receivable function to support the Accounting team (tasks may include review/approval of employee expense reports, assist with Accounts Payable processes, etc.)
Who You Are:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Business, or related field
- 1+ years of experience with accounts receivable, accounting, or related field
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently, as well as desire to meet the needs of the Accounting and Artsy team at large
- Ability to maintain an uncompromising level of accuracy and prioritization
- Experience with NetSuite preferred, but not required
- You are currently authorized to live and work in New York.
- This role will be based in New York.

The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000 annually. Artsy is committed to equitable compensation practices, and your offer will depend on the relevant experience and skillset you bring to the team.
