Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic, yet hands-on Global Head of Total Reward to join our dynamic team. This Senior Director-level role will lead the design, implementation and governance and oversee the execution of global compensation, benefits, and performance management programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the successful candidate will be pivotal in aligning our reward strategies with Corbion’s business goals and ESG commitments, ensuring compliance with CSRD and other regulatory frameworks, and driving meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
The Head of Total Reward, reporting to the CHRO and serving as a member of the global HRLT, is based in the Netherlands, with a choice between Amsterdam or Gorinchem. The role allows for up to two days of remote work per week and includes managing one direct report.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global total reward strategy and policies in line with Corbion’s business objectives, values, and sustainability commitments.
- Responsible for compensation and benefits programs, including executive remuneration, long-term incentive plans, and market benchmarking, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and execute global mobility policies, framework and processes. First contact to external partners.
- Responsible for performance management, rewards, bonus, recognition and engagement cycles
- Responsible for the global HRIS system including development, implementation, modification and training for uses.
- Drive the HR analytics agenda, leveraging data insights to inform decision-making and enhance organizational performance.
- Responsible and coordinating HR related part of the budget process
- Ensure accurate and transparent HR-related reporting in annual reports and disclosures.
- Act as a member of the global remuneration committee (responsible for remuneration policies, executive compensation etc.)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, , and auditors, to ensure alignment and effective communication of reward strategies.
- Provide strategic oversight for HR systems, ensuring they effectively support compensation, benefits, and performance management processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory changes, proactively recommending adjustments to Corbion’s reward practices.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, and/or a field such as Mathematics, Statistics or similar (advanced degree preferred )
- Extensive experience in total rewards leadership, preferably in a publicly traded company.
- In-depth knowledge of CSRD and other relevant regulations impacting HR reporting and governance.
- Proven expertise in HR systems, analytics, and performance management programs.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen with a strategic mindset.
- Knowledge of the US compensation and benefits landscape is highly beneficial.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience present
