Job Description
AECOM's Northern California Environmental Planning and Permitting team is seeking a Senior Environmental Planning Leader for our Sacramento office. The selected candidate will be part of our northern California leadership team, working closely with planners, archaeologists, ecologists, and other environmental specialists throughout AECOM.
Key responsibilities of this position would include:
Business Development: You would work with our northern California team to engage with potential clients, identify upcoming opportunities, and lead capture efforts for major projects and programs. Business development responsibilities would include collaboration with business line leaders to develop and implement multidisciplinary work from existing and future contracts.
Project and Program Management: You would manage projects and programs that are focused on environmental planning and permitting. Projects would include NEPA and CEQA assignments, regulatory permitting, and technical studies. AECOM has exceptional project management support, including people and systems that support tracking and managing budgets, schedules, and invoicing.
Technical Leadership: You would be a technical resource for existing projects and programs with cultural resources opportunities and challenges.
Operational Leadership: You would work together with our northern California and West Region leadership to build our business and assist in recruiting and growing our junior- and mid-level teams to support current and future work.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Geography, Archaeology, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education, including 2 years of leadership experience in environmental consulting or related field with a focus on cultural resource management, NEPA, CEQA, and regulatory permitting.
Preferred Qualifications:
15 years of relevant experience and leadership in environmental consulting or related field with a focus on cultural resource management, NEPA, CEQA, and regulatory permitting.
A history of working with private and public sector clients and regulatory agencies.
Experience with establishment and management of project scope, schedules, and budgets, including, contracting, invoicing, and client communicat
