Senior Systems Engineer – Eastern Pennsylvania
HPE Networking is a leader in AI-native, next-generation networking solutions that help organizations modernize infrastructure, simplify operations, and securely connect people, devices, and applications. We are seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) to support our State, Local Government, and K-12 customers throughout the Eastern Pennsylvania territory.
This is a highly customer-facing, pre-sales role where you'll partner with Territory Managers to design innovative networking solutions, build trusted customer relationships, and help drive successful business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep networking expertise with strong consultative and solution-selling skills.
What You'll Do
As a Systems Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle by:
Partnering with Territory Managers to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
Designing end-to-end networking solutions that address customer business and technical requirements.
Delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
Developing technical proposals, solution architectures, and implementation recommendations.
Positioning HPE Networking solutions against competitive offerings by clearly articulating technical advantages and business value.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Supporting channel partners and demand-generation activities within the territory.
Maintaining a strong understanding of emerging networking technologies and competitive market trends.
Managing a healthy sales pipeline while supporting complex enterprise opportunities from discovery through deployment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or pre-sales experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, business-focused solutions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, sales teams, and executive stakeholders.
