Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning for IT organization
Define and lead the IT org strategy, aligning talent plans with business priorities and future-state IT operating models.
Anticipate future skill needs based on technology trends and transformation initiatives (e.g., cloud migration, automation, data modernization).
Contribute to broader IT programs that drive operational maturity, including transformation initiatives, portfolio execution, and resource optimization.
Partner with HR on workforce planning, skills assessment, talent reviews, and succession strategies—bringing an IT lens to enterprise talent efforts.
Job Architecture & Organizational Design
Lead the modernization of IT’s job architecture—ensuring roles, competencies, leveling, and career pathways reflect a scalable, future-ready org design.
Support operating model updates, span-of-control analysis, and functional alignment initiatives as part of broader organizational health efforts.
Identify key training needs and influence learning investments that support upskilling and cross-training within the IT organization.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure learning strategies directly support project delivery, innovation capacity, and technology execution.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner with Finance, Program Management, and HR to ensure workforce strategies are integrated into capacity planning and business operations. (e.g., resourcing, org health, skills readiness, change adoption).
Provide data-driven recommendations to support resource allocation, and workforce shaping across critical initiatives.
Analytics & Insight
Leverage workforce data to drive insights on talent trends, capacity gaps, productivity, and transformation enablers.
Bring external benchmarking and best practices to inform IT leadership decision-making on structure and talent investments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in IT strategy, business operations, workforce planning, or organizational development—ideally within or alongside technology teams.
Demonstrated success in leading strategy initiatives within a business or IT function.
Experience contributing to or leading enterprise-scale transformation or technology enablement programs.
Familiarity with IT operating models, role taxonomy, and functional domains (e.g., infrastructure, applications, data, enterprise platforms).
Strong collaboration and influence skills—able to partner effectively with HR, Finance, and senior IT stakeholders.
Strong analytical capabilities and comfort using data to support strategy and execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
Experience with IT workforce modernization, skills forecasting, and learning enablement strategies.
Proficiency in planning and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Experience in matried, fast-paced, and transformation-oriented environments.
