• Design studies and research experiences that address user behavior and attitudes on Meta’s platforms.
• Generate insights that drive product strategy, policy changes, and design evolutions.
• Conduct research through a wide variety of quantitative methods and a subset of qualitative methods, such as surveys, observations, interviews, and interpret analysis through the lens of data science, social sciences, and user psychology.
• Apply knowledge of experimental and quantitative social science research methodologies to test difficult-to-test hypotheses.
• Leverage data to provide insights about user behavior and to inform business decisions.
• Analyze and draw conclusions from the data collected.
• Communicate the results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Marketing, Political Science, Social Sciences, Information Science, Statistics, or related field
• Position also requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
• 1. Working with large scale data in multi-method studies
• 2. Survey research: questionnaire design, survey sampling and analysis, and regression modeling
• 3. Experimental design methods
• 4. Statistical analysis using R and Stata
• 5. Quantitative analysis techniques: clustering, regression, and descriptive and inferential statistics
• 6. Collecting and analyzing user behavior data through a variety of channels: semi-formal interviews and observation
• 7. Conducting research using qualitative and quantitative methods
• 8. Presenting qualitative and quantitative results in a creative manner.

$216,890/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits
