JOB SUMMARY
Come join our team in the Division of Endocrinology at UT Southwestern! This is an opportunity for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient (90%) care at Clements University Hospital and Zale Lispshy Hospital and outpatient (10%) in the clinic. The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach to care, be able to multitask, and work well in multidisciplinary teams. This position manages patients with type I and type II diabetes, gestational diabetes, transplant patients, cystic fibrosis, as well as steroid or other drug induced hyperglycemia. Experience in diabetes management, endocrinology preferred, but not required. M - F, 8a.m. - 5p.m.. with on-call and weekend rotations. Veterans encouraged to apply.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Education
Graduate of a master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. OR
Master’s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
Licensure and Certification
Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) C
