Job Description

Visa is looking for a Senior Director to lead a team of network and application monitoring specialists, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high levels of performance and engagement. In this role, the incumbent will develop and implement strategies to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the company's network and application infrastructure and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

The Senior Director will Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and make recommendations for the adoption of new tools and processes. They will be expected to establish best-practice methodologies for problem resolution in a global 24x7, high volume, high availability, critical production environment, based on metrics-based KPIs. Drive organization's annual goal planning, key measures, and reporting using OKRs. With this, they are expected to be an exemplary leader and a role model for the organization's culture, vision, mission, and goals. This is an enabler role. They will make organization leaders successful by providing frameworks for success.  Know the products & culture, be flexible and adaptable, have data at your fingertips, and help remove blockers.

In addition, they will be responsible for leading incident and/or crisis events for Corporate Major Incidents and conduct as needed customer/partner engagements to represent operational concerns/needs. The incumbent will direct the continuous and secure operation, administration and maintenance of the corporate computing and networking infrastructure, including development of Risk Management, Identity/Access Management, Information Security and Privacy, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans. They will also work closely with other O&I, PD and other cross-functional teams who are managing systems and applications, to drive efficiency and improvements in supporting/managing the network, review/enhancement of processes and implementing new technologies, and to proactively ensure network operations capabilities are capable of handling emerging and future business requirements.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources.
  • Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements to network engineering, and assist in lab developments for technology trials.
  • Ensure that information security and risk management are embedded within the culture requiring continuous improvement to a complex set of functions to coordinate security and compliance risks related to information systems and assets.
  • Apply creative thinking/approach to determine solutions that further automation goals and align with our technology strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in interactions with partners and customers, programs manage collaboration projects externally and internally.
  • Build excellent personal relationships with leaders & stakeholders to command their attention.
  • Proactively drive, track, and close out internal organization initiatives from ideation to execution.  Provide regular visibility to leadership on progress, action items, blockers, risks, and dependencies.
  • Orchestrate success for workforce planning and software renewals by working with stakeholders within the org.
  • Ensure change management best practices are followed for rolling out org initiatives.
  • Manage the submission of high quality and informative updates to management:
    • Executive level dashboard reporting
    • Executive Committee and Board of Director reporting
    • Executive Project Watch Lists
    • Executive status on open/pending/completed tasks
    • Monthly and Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) updates
