Position Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and profitability of assigned venues within Ontario Convention Center. This role oversees front-of-house operations, team leadership, inventory management, service standards, and financial performance while ensuring exceptional guest experiences during all events.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Food & Beverage and Food & Beverage Managers in the daily operations of catering, banquet, concessions, and hospitality services at the Ontario Convention Center.
- Assist in supervising Front-of-House (FOH) team members during events, ensuring service standards and operational procedures are followed.
- Coordinate event set-up, service execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless delivery of food and beverage services for conferences, conventions, banquets, and special events.
- Monitor guest satisfaction during events and respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Assist in implementing training programs and maintaining service standards aligned with Legends Global brand expectations.
- Support inventory management by tracking product levels, monitoring product handling, and assisting with ordering and receiving as needed.
- Assist in maintaining labor schedules and staffing levels to support operational needs and event requirements.
- Ensure all service areas maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with culinary, sales, and operations teams to ensure proper execution of menus, event timelines, and service expectations.
- Assist with post-event operational reviews, identifying opportunities to improve service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with facilities and operations teams to ensure equipment and service areas are properly maintained and operational.
- Provide leadership support on the floor during events, leading by example to promote teamwork, professionalism, and high service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the Food & Beverage department.
Experience/Training/Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of venue or related hospitality experience required.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
- Progressive supervisory experience required
License/Certificate:
• SERV Safe / Food Handler Certification
