Role Overview

A Senior Director of Health Care Real Estate Advisory Services will lead client projects, with regular guidance from their Managing Director. They collaborate with others to solve business problems and develop close relationships with clients. They typically have eight or more years of relevant business and consulting experience and have demonstrated exceptional consulting competencies through previous employment performance.

Quality Client Execution and Profitability – Consistently deliver high-quality and profitable work that achieves optimal client and project outcomes, including:

  • Leading a diverse portfolio of client-based projects

  • Monitoring and ensuring client satisfaction with overall service and quality of deliverables

  • Establishing an expectation for high quality standards for self/(team) in all aspects of client relationship/sales cycle

  • Reviewing and ensuring quality deliverables

  • Develop an internal data management strategy for client engagements. 

  • Managing project scope, vision, objectives, schedule, budget, resources, vendors, dependencies, issues, risks, and change using best practice and/or “right-sized” methods, tools, and approaches

  • Proactively manage, monitor, and adjust plan throughout the project.

  • Actively participate in and lead internal and external team meetings including client assessments, presentations, and status meetings. 

  • Develop standardized metrics, methodologies, data visualizations, and other work product to be delivered by client project teams. 

  • Maintain key documentation throughout the project, including status reports, issue/risk logs, decision history, business process diagrams, etc.

  • Manage conflicts and escalate critical issues to the project sponsor.

  • Ensure clients are provided high-quality services from all levels of the team and provide an appropriate level of oversight and review of client reports and deliverables. 

High Performing Teams & People – Leverage the collective through strong teaming and collaboration; continuously develop self and others.

  •  Develops a comprehensive project plan for meeting the objectives within scope, including people, process, and technology components of the initiative.

  • Lead day-to-day activities of engagements including interaction with other team members, subject matter experts, and client contacts. 

  • Creates and implements a communications plan to keep team members, stakeholders, and sponsors up to date on project status and issues.

  • Create project status summaries, reports, metrics, written analyses, assessments, and other presentations of work performed. 

  • Flexibly contributes to other project roles, as necessary, with project sponsor approval.

  • Ensures key performance management milestones are met for self; actively participates in calibration process.

  • Pursues opportunities to expand own capabilities and to refine and further develop expertise to meet evolving market / client demands.

  • Build relationships with other Ankura professionals and participate in industry events where subject matter expertise is requested. 

  • Maintain a professional image within the company and project the same to those outside of the company. 

  • Mentor junior practice members to enable their professional development and continued growth.
