These are manufactured, assembled and tested at manufacturing sites all around the world, using production systems that are developed by Axis. Although our production systems use advanced technology and is automated, there are still parts that are operator dependent and manual. Therefore, the operators play a key role in producing high quality products. </p><p></p><p>Axis conducts manufacturing operations in several countries worldwide, where many operators lack good understanding in English. A user-friendly and intuitive user interface for Axis production systems is vital to ensure efficient and reliable production.</p><p></p><p>This thesis project may include investigating user interaction and taking inspiration from research in the field. With the gathered knowledge we can draw conclusions on how the user interfaces of our production systems should be designed. </p><p></p><p><b>Goal</b></p><ul><li>Identify user needs <span>and expectations</span></li><li>Present design guidelines for UIs in Axis’ production systems</li><li>Develop a proof-of-concept UI for evaluation</li><li>Investigate effort/benefit and decide on areas to prioritize </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Who are you?</b></p><p>For this thesis proposal we target students with a strong interest in User Experience. Most likely you are studying a Master Program in Information and Communications Engineering or Bachelor/Master Program in Interaction Design. </p><p></p><p><b>OK, I am interested!
