Job Summary

The role profile is 60% EHS and 40% Security.

• The EHS/Security Manager will participate in the management and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and forms that comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, APCD, NFPA, etc.) and ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards in our manufacturing environment. They will utilize leadership skills to enhance HSE practices throughout our processes, supporting the EHS team by assisting in training, document creation/revisions, hazard assessments (machine and task-specific), waste management, incident prevention, etc. They will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with team members from Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality to improve EHS performance across the site.
• The EHS/Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring the protection of the People, Assets, Information, and Reputation of the GKN site. The EHS/Security Manager will possess the experience, capability, and capacity to manage physical and information security, providing operational direction and support to the site through the implementation of a security risk management program. This will enable the site to fulfill GKN’s business priorities, contractual and regulatory obligations, and maintain its ‘Licence to Operate.’
• Internal collaboration with the Central Security Team (CST), Business Line Security Leads (BLSL), and functional stakeholders will be crucial for understanding risks and delivering solutions that support manufacturing programs. Where appropriate, liaison with Contracting Authorities and customer peers will ensure clear expectations and obligations are met.
• The EHS/Security Manager will serve as the primary contact for all security matters at the site, offering advice and support, implementing governance & compliance, managing physical and technical security programs, overseeing third-party security contractors, monitoring travel security risks, conducting investigations, and delivering training and awareness programs across the site.
   

Job Responsibilities

The precise nature of your role will be defined by needs of the business but your duties and responsibilities will include:
Environmental, Health and Safety:
•    Lead cross-functional projects to enhance EHS practices, collaborating across teams to implement effective solutions.
•    Continuously improve processes through proactive risk management and prevention initiatives.
•    Build strong internal and external relationships within GKN and with partners to achieve excellence in EHS performance.
•    Proficiency in interpreting and adhering to local, state, and federal environmental regulations related to permitting requirements. (Air, Water, Haz Waste, etc.)
•    Conduct thorough machine and task-specific risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
•    Support the planning and execution of EHS training activities and initiatives.
•    Develop, review, and update EHS policies, procedures, forms, and check sheets to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
•    Assist in implementing controls aimed at managing waste streams, striving towards achieving 'ZERO to Landfill by 2025' goals.
•    Support EHS-focused audits and inspections (e.g., OSHA, ADEM, ISO) to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
•    Collaborate with the EHS team to ensure all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met.
•    Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Manager to contribute to the overall success of the EHS function at GKN Aerospace.
Site Security:
•    Manage day-to-day operational security activities to safeguard personnel, assets, information, and reputation at the GKN Aerospace site.
•    Ensure strict adherence to GKNA Security Policy and Standards, implementing effective security measures and controls.
