Senior Manager, Talent Partner

Please note, this is a hybrid role which requires three days on-site in our Back Bay, Boston office. 

 

We are looking for an experienced Talent Partner to support our Technology organization in providing strategic input, insight and advice with respect to employee relations, performance management, conflict management, organizational change and more. As a Talent Relations Partner, you will coach employees and managers through workplace and performance situations to reach equitable and effective outcomes that balance business needs, mitigate risk and honor Wayfair’s culture of continuous feedback.  As a member of the Talent organization, you will play an integral role in navigating and influencing people and business initiatives while prioritizing the employee experience.

 

What You’ll Do

• Establish strategic partnerships and support business units on employee relations concerns and performance management initiatives.
• Advise and consult employees in the resolution of employee relations issues by partnering with employees and leaders, administering policies, and recommending effective, scalable solutions for addressing workplace issues. 
• Conduct investigations, provide accurate and timely responses to concerns and determine expedient solutions to ensure fairness and legal compliance. 
• Acts as a subject matter expert to provide strategic coaching to management of all levels on addressing a variety of people issues while effectively mitigating business and company risk. 
• Partner with HRBPs, Talent Development and Legal teams to implement scalable solutions, provide developmental training and coaching on employee relations techniques, corrective action and documentation, and performance management best practices to support continuous professional development and drive manager enablement.
• Manage offboarding processes and provide regular insights to the business to aid in risk mitigation and employee experience. 
• Analyze data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop scalable solutions, programs and policies to improve the employee experience.

 

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources/Talent Management strongly preferred
• Experience with Workday or other HRIS system is a plus
• Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and maintain confidentiality
• You are proactive and use excellent judgment when making tough decisions in complex, nuanced, and highly confidential situations
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for working across functions and with leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view, and owning a coherent action plan, all while negotiating and influencing others
• You have a strong customer service focus with a sense of urgency and excellent follow through
• Strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft or Google Office Suite of tools 
• Ability to build productive relationships and partner with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization 
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
