We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis continues to grow in the US and is seeking an experienced, energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our National Alternative Delivery Group as a Commercial Manager.  In this role you will oversee the commercial resources and activities for one or more Alternative Delivery projects. The candidate should possess considerable experience in the Design Build/PPP/Progressive Design Build space and will have previously held commercial related roles on major projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

For your assigned projects:

• Lead and manage all commercial activities related, including contract negotiation, change management, risk management, progress measurements, cost management, schedule management and financial oversight.
• Oversees the direction of the project’s commercial resources (contract, change management, scheduling and project controls).
• Ensure company policies, processes and procedures are adhered to including Project Reviews and forecast updates.
• Develop and implement Commercial Management Plans including Change Management Plan, Project Controls Management Plan and Schedule Management Plan.
• Responsible for ensuring commercial obligations under the contract are met including reporting, change notification/estimates, schedule progress updates and invoicing.
• Lead change management process including all change order negotiations with the client.
• Lead corrective actions and/or recovery plans development when delays are anticipated or occur.
• Lead time and cost delay claims.
• Supports risk allocation and value engineering workshops.
• Subject Matter Expert for Commercial Management to the Project Manager and Project Team.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 10 years relevant experience.
• Highly articulate, clear and analytical approach to problem solving, strong decision-making abilities and business acumen.
• Strong knowledge of alternative delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships).
• Excellent understanding of commercial management techniques and approaches including change management, cost management, progress measurement, schedule management and financial management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in commercial management software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
