Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to join our legal team. This role requires a deep understanding of government contracting, regulatory licensing, document retention, and litigation oversight. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in legal compliance, document management, litigation support and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Government Contracts
- Review and manage federal, state, and local government contracts and subcontracts.
- Support compliance team with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable procurement regulations.
- Support internal teams during government audits, proposal submissions, and contract performance reviews.
Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain and track regulatory licenses, registrations, and renewals at the local, state, and federal level.
- Prepare and submit licensing documentation to ensure timely compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the regulatory team to help monitor changes in licensing requirements and communicate updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
Document Retention & Management
- Oversee document retention policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the legal document repository, ensuring secure and organized storage and retrieval.
- Coordinate legal holds and support eDiscovery processes in connection with litigation or investigations.
Litigation Oversight
- Assist with litigation management, including coordination with outside counsel, case tracking, and preparation of discovery materials.
- Draft and file routine pleadings, responses, and correspondence under attorney supervision.
- Support internal investigations and respond to subpoenas or other legal requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Required.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited program required.
- Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience including substantive work in government contracts and litigation support.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS government procurement processes and administrative licensing requirements.
- Proficiency with document management systems and legal research tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience interfacing across departments and with outside counsel.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of legal technology platforms.
- Notary Public Certification or the ability to become a Notary.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position is located in South Salt Lake City. Hybrid schedule offered.
- This position is non-exempt 40 hours / week
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Occasional standing, bending, lifting, or reachingmay be required.
