Job Overview

Factory Team Leader supports the Supervisor in leading, guiding, and mentoring of team members. He/she is in responsible for leading the production operators and technicians assuring safe, high quality, complete-on-time delivery of KONE components. He/she acts as the first interface between workers and the Supervisor.

Location: Allen, TX

Job Duties

Lead production operatives:

  • Studies production schedules and estimates work hour requirements for completion of job assignments. 
  • Drives safety, productivity and quality in production with supervisor. 
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties. 
  • Maintains production records. 
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. 
  • Allocates operatives to work stations in cooperation with production supervisor 
  • Trains operatives to new tasks 
  • Works closely with the supervisor to drive a culture of continuous improvement 

Performance Measures:

  • Volume per shift productivity and efficiency 
  • Optimize direct working hours - reducing indirect hours with the best use of the resources 
  • Reducing lost time in production  
  • Daily communication to the people (Targets, Quality, IIFR etc) 
  • Complete on Time 
  • Rework/production scraps reduction 
  • Safety and environmental measures 
  • Ideas and suggestions in his area

Hiring Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing/operational process  
  • Solid experience in production processes and in managing and leading people in standard or special production.  
  • Good knowledge about the processes in component installation for a better understanding of the customer and quality needs.  
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities 
  • High school degree. 
  • Basic English knowledge. 
  • Computer skills – MS Office and SAP is a plus

Hourly Pay Range: $28.15 - $38.70

Variable Compensation 

KONE Incentive Program (Quarterly) based on achievement of group goals.
