Sr. Consultant (Business Analyst)

As a Business Analyst in the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry, your primary role will be to bridge the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Industry-Specific Knowledge: You will need a thorough understanding of the typical business processes and workflows in the DME industry, including referral processing, ordering, fulfillment, and billing. Prior experience in this industry is required to effectively navigate and understand the unique challenges and needs of the DME sector.

2. Excellent Communication: You will need to effectively communicate both written and verbally with a diverse range of stakeholders, including technical developers, managers, and business owners. Your role will involve translating complex concepts into understandable, actionable information.

3. Strong BA Practices: You will be expected to employ strong BA practices, particularly in the creation of user stories and grooming. This means you will need to understand the business's needs and translate them into a format that IT developers can use to create a suitable solution.

4. Critical Thinking: You will need above-average critical thinking skills. This role is not just about taking notes and documenting, but about understanding the underlying needs of the business. You will be expected to challenge requirements and ask clarifying questions to understand the "why" behind the requests.
