About the role

Are you ready to save the planet?

We will help prevent a climate crisis by freeing the world from fossil fuels. Our breakthrough direct air capture technology captures CO2 from the atmosphere and produces hydrogen in parallel. The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for?

Join us as a Working Student and become the bridge between Automation & Controls and Process Engineering team by providing data driven insights. The data pipeline is in place; your mission is to unleash its full potential, turning our rich, year-long time-series history into insights, dashboards, and the first generation of data-science models that drive continuous optimization.

How you'll contribute

Craft performant InfluxDB (InfluxQL/Flux) queries that power new and existing KPIs—building on a mature metric suite, not starting from scratch.

Design and iterate Grafana dashboards that surface actionable insights for shop-floor operators, process engineers and also high level dashboards for executives.

Build on Greenlyte’s first data-science use cases: exploratory analysis, anomaly detection and simple predictive models that improve plant reliability and efficiency.

Maintain clear documentation: data dictionary, query logic, dashboard layouts and model assumptions.

Collaborate daily with Automation, Process Engineering to safeguard data quality, security and uptime.

About you

Basic Qualifications

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Automation, Chemical/Process Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar.

Solid coursework or hands-on project experience in chemical / process engineering, allowing you to understand complex plant chemistry quickly and translate it into effective data analysis.

Full-time availability (38–40 h/week) for 4–6 months is preferred. Working students working part time (20h/week) are also welcome to apply.

Proven project or coursework experience in Python and at web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or Java).

Preferred Skills & Experience

Hands-on exposure to Node-RED and PLC ecosystems.

Familiarity with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, etc.) and dashboard tools (Grafana, Kibana, Superset, …)

Basic understanding of industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus) and networking.

Fluency in Flux or InfluxQL, plus experience tuning retention policies and continuous queries.

Track record of translating complex process data into intuitive visualisations or ML prototypes.

Comfort with cloud or on-prem solutions for scalable data storage and model deployment.

Passion for sustainability, curiosity for complex processes, and clear communication in a fast-growing, multicultural environment.

What we offer

20 days vacation plus public holidays to ensure you also have the down time needed to rest and recharge.

The possibility to grow and shape your role.

Working with founders who understand - and invest time in - the importance of building a healthy and sustainable organization.

Open and transparent communication on company development.
