POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Custodian will be responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of facilities and grounds for the South Sound YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Clean offices, including vacuuming, dusting, windows and emptying trash and recycling.
- Clean meeting rooms including vacuuming, dusting windows and trash.
- Perform dry and wet mopping of program areas.
- Vacuum hallways and program areas.
- Clean rest rooms and locker rooms including mopping, cleaning and sanitizing sinks, toilets and showers. Restock supplies.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Wash lobby tables and counter.
- Perform other cleaning duties as requested.
- Ensure appropriate use of all chemical supplies and ensure chemicals are stored correctly and are inaccessible to members.
- Keep all storage areas neat and clean.
- Assist with association special events or special projects as requested.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent must have the skills and experience needed to effectively and safely utilize tools and equipment necessary to keep the facility cleaned and well-maintained. An understanding of the importance of this position in ensuring member satisfaction.
Upon hire:
- Current Child & Infant and Adult CPR, AED and First Aid must be obtained within 30-days of hire and be current throughout length of employment.
- South Sound YMCA’s - New Employee Orientation must be obtained within 45-days of hire.
