Perioperative Registered Nurse

Boone Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN Circulator with a minimum of 3-5 years of OR circulator experience to join our surgical department. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care. This full-time position and follows a Monday-Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and develop individualized perioperative care plans.
• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the operating room to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain sterile techniques and enforce strict infection control protocols.
• Monitor and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and patient positioning.
• Communicate with the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures.
• Administer medications safely and correctly.
• Provide patient education and support to designated caregivers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Participate in quality review and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active RN license in the state of West Virginia
• Minimum of 3-5 years of RN OR circulator experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire)

Preferred:

• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification
