Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Delivery/Product Owner to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic software projects while managing stakeholder alignment, product direction, and backlog execution. This is a hybrid leadership role requiring senior-level experience in both client delivery and agile product ownership within consulting and enterprise environments.

You'll be accountable for ensuring solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to client prioritie swhile also driving product value, backlog clarity, and team performance. You'll be the connective tissue between clients, engineering, and design.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

• Own and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with client stakeholders and delivery teams
• Write, groom, and manage high-quality user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria aligned to business value
• Facilitate story mapping, backlog refinement, and sprint planning sessions across cross-functional teams
• Ensure stakeholder needs and customer outcomes are translated into clear, actionable features
• Validate delivered features against requirements and support release planning & go-to-market coordination

Delivery Leadership

• Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for large or complex engagements, including planning, team coordination, scope, and timelines
• Establish and manage delivery plans, risk logs, resourcing models, sprint schedules, and milestone reporting
• Act as a senior delivery escalation point; proactively resolve blockers, clarify scope, and ensure stakeholder alignment
• Partner with technical leads and architects to ensure feasibility, sequencing, and technical alignment
• Manage delivery KPIs (velocity, burn-down, throughput, defects) and lead retrospectives to drive improvement

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the strategic interface between Provoke and client executives, product sponsors, and business SMEs
• Lead stakeholder demos, working sessions, and alignment checkpoints with credibility and confidence
• Influence decision-making around scope, tradeoffs, and delivery priorities through strong communication and domain understanding
• Drive clarity across cross-functional teams in ambiguous or evolving client environments

Qualifications

• 8+ years in hybrid product owner and delivery leadership roles in consulting, digital agencies, or enterprise software companies
• Demonstrated success owning complex software delivery engagements with cross-disciplinary teams
• Deep expertise in agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), backlog management, and product execution
• Skilled in Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools for managing agile delivery pipelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging technical and business stakeholders at the executive level
• Background in CMS platforms, workflow automation, customer-facing web applications, or digital experience platforms is a plus
• Consulting/professional services experience strongly preferred
• Certifications such as CSPO, PMP, or SAFe Product Owner are highly desirable
