The Department of Pediatrics-Neonatology has an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem Sr. Research Assistant. The Senior Research Assistant explores innovations to research and strives to improve implementation and family outcomes. Further, the Senior Research Assistant ensures will have hands-on responsibility in assisting PI with the implementation of research protocols, clinical trials and assume the responsibility of coordination of the study and data collection of the research portion of the project under the direction of assigned Physician.
Assists with implementation of research protocols.
Identification of research subjects
Data collection, entry and analysis
Monitoring compliance with protocols
Assist with the preparation and submission of research protocols to Institutional Review Board
Attends and participates in research meetings and conferences of the division.
Plans and implements research experiments, according to research protocols, to assure high quality scientific results in support of applicable project goals.
Participates in assessing feasibility of implementing innovations.
Assesses data trends and develops reports and presentations.
Supports the initiation of new research by reviewing and synthesizing literature.
Oversees inventory of supplies and equipment and places orders in a timely fashion.
Provides assistance in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Detail oriented.
Ability to keep records and inventories.
