Responsibilities

The Manager, Clinical Services and Integration has primary responsibility for overseeing daily clinical pharmacy operations and medication systems integration into clinical practice, medication and patient safety integration, performance improvement initiatives and staff development and training. Works collaboratively with and in support of Pharmacy Managers and departmental leaders to accomplish identified hospital and departmental goals. Actively works to incorporate the perspective of appropriate departments and practitioners in the delivery of Pharmacy services and in implementation of improvement initiatives. Must be capable of independent judgement and decision making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs. Has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for assigned area. Serves all patients including, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.

2. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or five (5) years experience or with equivalent knowledge base.

3. Completion of a post Doctor of Pharmacy Degree residency or five (5) years or equivalent clinical experience.

4. Five (5) years previous hospital pharmacy practice experience.

5. Ability to develop, organize and implement various programs.

6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

7. Evidence of an ability to work well with others, a team player.

8. Evidence of teaching skills.

PREFERRED:1. Quality improvement experience.

2. Previous management experience
