Job Description

Institutional Client Group – Middle Office Support Team Lead 

Middle Office Support is seeking a Team Leader to lead a high-performing team supporting loan onboarding and funding functions for bilateral and direct loans. This role serves as a critical liaison between key partner teams, ensuring seamless end-to-end execution and consistent, high-quality client and business line experience. 

The Team Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence by maintaining strong day-to-day performance, identifying opportunities for process simplification, and improving productivity across workflows. This leader fosters a collaborative, enterprise mindset, partnering effectively across functions to remove friction, enhance client delivery, and support business growth. 

A core expectation of the role is strong change leadership. The incumbent will guide the team through transformation by cultivating a positive, inclusive, and resilient team culture, while reinforcing adaptability and continuous improvement. 

Additionally, the Team Lead builds and sustains high-performing teams through: 

  • Clear goal setting and performance accountability 

  • Active coaching, feedback, and talent development 

  • Strong employee engagement and retention strategies 

This role also plays a key part in risk management by promoting strong operational discipline, reinforcing controls, and fostering a proactive risk-aware culture across the team. 

Basic Qualifications 
- Management/supervisory experience 
- Eight or more years of banking or other relevant experience 

Preferred Skills/Experience 
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience 
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills 
- Effective coaching and mentoring skills 
- Diplomacy and cultural competence 
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills 
 

Location Expectations: This role will require three (3)+ days onsite at one of the listed U.S. Bank hub locations.
