Job Summary:

The Director Financial Reporting and Audit will lead the reporting and audit functions for the company.

Job Description:

Core Duties:

Oversees work related to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensures compliance with organizational standards and government regulations (including GAAP).
Reviews and approves SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, prior to submission.
Reviews and interprets regulations and provides technical accounting guidance across the organization.
Provides accounting assistance during special projects, such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
Establishes the company’s audit plan, which is meant to document and evaluate internal controls and identify risks impacting integrity, reliability, efficiency, and security of applications, platforms, or procedures.
Identifies platforms, systems, or processes to be audited.
Reviews audit results and develops recommendations meant to reduce risk and increase protection of organizational assets.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
Collaborates with members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business and 10 years’ experience in financial reporting and/or audit

Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented.
Ability to meet deadlines.
