We are actively seeking a highly skilled Workplace Security Specialist (4540) to work REMOTELY, for our client, the European Commission.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Conducting security risk assessments in Digital Workplace context
  • Diagnose potentially complex security-related and/or identity-related issues,
  • Design implement and support effective solutions for mitigating security risks
  • Integrating different security technologies in a complex environment
  • Integrating end point security solutions but with knowledge of backend server and network infrastructure
  • Provision of security studies associated with information system projects
  • Security assessments of information systems 

 

Job Requirements 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work in a proactive and independent manner, with a focus on priorities, communication and decision-making capacities
  • Good organization, coordination and planning skills – with a high degree of drive and desire to empower ICT change and evolution
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to audiences ranging from senior management to technology specialists
  • In-depth knowledge of information systems matters and business processes analysis
  • Very good knowledge of software development processes
  • Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
  • Very good critical and creative thinking skills
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very good communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to give business and technical presentations
  • Ability to apply high quality standards
  • Proactive, motivated, pragmatic, and diplomatic behaviour is required
  • Knowledge of, and experience with Jira is an asset
  • Experience in writing reports and project management artefacts is an asset (e.g. Business Case, Project Charters documents)
  • Good understanding of the Commission business processes is an asset
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

  • Good knowledge of the IT Security Standards and Guidelines applying to European Commission information systems
  • Good knowledge of the IT Security Risk Management Methodology (ITSRM2, ISO/IEC 27005)
  • Knowledge of the Commission IT security policy in general and of the IT Security compliance in particular
  • Previous experience in drafting IT security plans
  • Knowledge of handling Sensitive non-classified information
  • Knowledge of the Governance, Risk and Compliance corporate tool is an asset
