About Houston


ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

  • ExxonMobil is seeking a qualified and experienced individuals to provide reservoir engineering technical expertise to Conventional Oil & Gas, Unconventional and Low Carbon Solution (LCS) development projects
  • Reservoir engineers work with multi-discipline teams to support optimal asset development, reservoir management and operations leveraging fundamental reservoir engineering skills in reservoir characterization, surveillance, performance prediction, economic evaluation, development planning, opportunity generation and production optimization
  • Reservoir engineers are placed in many teams within our business, such as direct asset support, business development and technology development  
  • The position is located at ExxonMobil campus in Spring, Texas

What you will do

 

  • Improving reservoir description through fluid analysis, core evaluation, well testing interpretation, and production performance analysis
  • Generating production and injection forecasts
  • Conducting reservoir depletion planning and field development planning with cross-functional teams 
  • Conducting reserves assessments and economic evaluations to support development / depletion planning and production optimization opportunities
  • Provide recommendations to address financial and operations risks and improve decision quality
  • Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solutions

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required - preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry work experience in Reservoir Engineering
  • Foundational reservoir engineering skills, such as reservoir analytical performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance & optimization, volumes forecasting, economic analysis and data management
  • Strong computer proficiency and familiar with industry software
  • Demonstrated focus on achieving business results while working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills
