RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with vendors to dispatch service, expedite repairs, and secure parts or replacement equipment when required.

  • Review third-party inspection reports (on-rent and off-rent), ensure findings are addressed, and drive issues to documented closure.

  • Track downed equipment, document issues, monitor repair status, and communicate path to resolution with project and crane stakeholders.

  • Manage relationships with OEMs and dealer networks to support warranty, technical guidance, service campaigns, and parts availability.

  • Support performance reviews with key vendors and OEM partners; identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Owned fleet deployment, scheduling & utilization

  • Plan and allocate owned fleet deployment in partnership with the Crane Manager and project teams (scheduling, transportation planning, and utilization).

  • Coordinate mobilization/demobilization and fleet moves; resolve open maintenance and repair needs prior to redeployment to protect schedule and safety.

  • Help coordinate crane assembly and disassembly (A/D) support between project teams and vendors, aligning scope, schedule, and closeout requirements.

  • Maintain location and status visibility for fleet assets and support proactive planning for upcoming project starts and transitions.

Crane support equipment management

  • Manage crane support equipment inventory and readiness

  • Coordinate inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of support equipment; ensure accurate tracking and availability for deployment.

  • Identify trends in failures, downtime, and recurring issues; recommend corrective actions and operator/vendor feedback loops.

  • Support standard work and process improvements that increase reliability, reduce cycle time to repair, and improve vendor performance.

Leadership & safety

  • Lead and influence without direct authority by guiding project teams in the field on maintenance, logistics, and issue-resolution best practices.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and knowledge resource to the crane team on fleet logistics, maintenance coordination, and vendor/OEM support.

  • Partner with project teams to reinforce safe operations and support Mortenson’s Zero Injury safety culture.

  • Build effective working relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels; communicate clearly and professionally
