About Philanthropy
Fred Hutch’s Philanthropy department raises funds that accelerate cancer and related disease research, clinical research, and advance education to help Fred Hutch become the world’s best cancer center. Since April 2022, Fred Hutch has served as the cancer program for UW Medicine, and Philanthropy is proud to raise funds that fuel the adult oncology program on behalf of both Fred Hutch and UW Medicine.

Job Summary
The Program Manager, Community Fundraising, is a member of the Experience & Engagement program and reports to the Program Director, Peer-to-Peer. The Experience & Engagement program is responsible for broad-based fundraising; peer-to-peer programming; donor communications; donor marketing; and a robust pipeline of events.
The Program Manager, Community Fundraising, is responsible for the development, management, planning, production, and delivery of program priorities within Philanthropy. The Program Manager, Community Fundraising, is responsible for building relationships and managing engagement and growth of community fundraising initiatives that connect and empower people who want to channel their passion and raise funds to end cancer and infectious disease.
Some travel and weekend and evening work may be required.
This position is a hybrid role with a minimum two days per week at our South Lake Union campus.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peer-to-peer team to meet ambitious fundraising goals and metrics by growing revenue, participation, and reach for peer-to-peer initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors hosting community fundraising initiatives on behalf of Fred Hutch. Manage engagement; provide support; develop promotional plans; cheer results; and attend events raising $10,000 or more.
- Collaborate in the development of new peer-to-peer initiatives including by researching and identifying new fundraising opportunities and community partnerships; cultivating relationships with communities and influencers; and developing fundraising opportunities with prospective partners.
- Serve as a resource to colleagues across the department on peer-to-peer strategies and opportunities.
- Build strategic and collegial partnerships to problem-solve and strengthen programs.
- Manage engagement and strategic growth of internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Philanthropy leaders and partners teams to develop innovative strategies and clear goals and implement programs/projects that deliver on those goals.
- Implement and manage all aspects and logistics of assigned projects from concept to completion.
