(USA) Principal, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security

What you'll do...

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Information Security Systems and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. Our mission is to improve the reliability, efficiency, and operating excellence of Walmart’s most critical solutions within InfoSec ecosystems. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in protecting our critical infrastructure by conducting robust engineering and design reviews, reducing risks, and ensuring the continued operation of our solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct thorough engineering and design reviews to identify and mitigate risks to critical infrastructure.
• Improve solution health monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely detection and response to issues.
• Eliminate single points of failure and implement strategies to enhance system resilience.
• Collaborate with technology experts within Walmart and our vendor community to drive improvements in solution reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze and reduce the number and severity of impacting events across InfoSec solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for operating excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ensure solution adherence to Walmart policies and standards

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in reliability engineering, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Information Security principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of both Azure and GCP highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Walmart’s InfoSec ecosystems and solutions.
