Summary:
Career Ambassadors (CAs) receive comprehensive training to promote Career Center services and resources, support events and outreach efforts, and assist with a variety of projects across Career Center teams.
CAs serve as front-line representatives of the Career Center, engaging with students, alumni, faculty, and employers. In this dynamic role, CAs help deliver educational programming, manage career resources, and enhance the overall student experience.

Essential Functions:
1.) Customer Service
Greet Career Center visitors, delivering exceptional service to students, alumni, faculty, parents, and employers.
Schedule appointments in Handshake and handle inquiries via phone and in person.
2.) Administrative and Data Support
Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, supply inventory, mail handling, and event preparation.
Support data collection and analysis for reports related to graduate outcomes and event participation.
Answer phone calls and emails, rerouting inquiries as appropriate.
3.) Programs and Outreach
Assist with planning and executing career education and employer programs, managing tasks like event preparation, check-ins, and attendance tracking.
Deliver brief presentations to promote Career Center services in undergraduate classes.
Develop social media content to increase awareness of Career Center services and events.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
5 - 8 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 - $18.70 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be an enrolled AU student.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a proven record of dependability.
Experience in customer service and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and adapt to immediate team needs in the moment.
Comfortable engaging with employers and the AU community, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and other community members.
Willingness to ask for assistance when needed, and a receptive attitude toward feedback.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in a busy office environment is beneficial.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Z
