What is the role about? 

This role leads and manages all onsite project activities—from setup through execution—for maintenance, shutdowns, commissioning, calibrations, and start-up services. Serving as the primary onsite liaison, the position ensures safety, quality, and efficiency while collaborating closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, legal, and management. The role brings value to Endress+Hauser by driving successful project delivery, strengthening client relationships, and supporting continuous improvement in onsite execution. 

Which tasks will you perform? 

  • Lead and oversee all onsite set-up efforts and project activities for maintenance, shutdowns, commissioning, plant start-up, calibrations, and solutions projects. 
  • Establish, organize, and direct onsite teams, including internal staff, subcontractors, and third-party vendors, to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and productivity targets are established and met for onsite services. 
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, fostering strong professional relationships and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. 
  • Monitor and manage project costs, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Implement and enforce onsite safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. 
  • Resolve onsite issues and conflicts promptly to minimize project disruptions and maintain workflow. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, legal, and management teams to coordinate project deliverables and logistics. 
  • Conduct regular onsite progress meetings with stakeholders to communicate project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Assist in developing and refining onsite work processes, documentation, and best practices for continuous improvement. 
  • Support the integration, adoption, and improvements of digital tools and technologies to enhance onsite productivity and reporting. 
  • Provide training and mentorship to onsite technicians and junior project staff on project management processes and safety practices. 
  • Prepare and present project performance reports, including productivity metrics, cost analysis, and client feedback. 
  • Ensure all onsite activities comply with company policies, client policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 

What do we expect from you? 

You will have (required): 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, or equivalent training and experience. 
  • Travel required: 65 -70%  
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work onsite at customer facilities for extended periods

You may have (preferred): 

  • Experience managing onsite teams with strong knowledge of OSHA and Homeland Security regulations 
  • Proficient in project management tools for onsite reporting and documentation 
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and self-motivation, taking pride in their work and channeling energy into achieving tasks with a strong sense of ownership. 
  • Collaborates effectively with others, sometimes across departments, to achieve organizational goals and enhance customer experience. 
  • Builds and maintains strong, trustworthy business relationships, leveraging long-term partnerships to achieve collective success.
