WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Patient Service Center Representative serves as the initial point of contact for Elica Health Centers (EHC) patients, partners and vendors. As part of the Patient Service Center, your primary role is to provide excellent customer service to patients assisting them with scheduling appointments, updating patient demographics and insurance information, verifying health plan eligibility, and taking messages to deliver to appropriate internal staff.

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Bilingual Spanish, Russian, Farsi Preferred
- Handling outbound and inbound calls from patients, other medical offices, patient family members and hospitals.
- Registering new patients.
- Scheduling patient appointments via inbound and outbound calling efforts.
- Working assign tasks in clinical inbox.
- Taking complete and accurate messages and delivering them to appropriate internal staff.
- Transferring patient calls with complex inquiries to appropriate staff.
- Documenting patient complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate has:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- General education degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, preferably EPIC.
- Experience working in a call center environment.
- Healthcare terminology knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience working in a clinic front office setting with customer service including dealing with the public.
- Understanding of health insurance including Medicare and Medi-cal.
- Excellent computer skills, preferably with Windows.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a current and valid California driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.
