Position Description:

As a Project Manager Purchasing - PMP, your role is to represent the Purchasing Group in assigned product development projects. Utilizing a proactive approach, you will comprehend purchasing requirements, drive, and oversee purchasing activities essential for a specific project. The objective is to deliver the Purchasing project on time with agreed-upon quality, cost, features, technology, sustainability, and risk management in accordance with requested volumes and production capacity. Tasks include managing schedules, engaging with stakeholders, tracking progress, and reporting results. Strong decision-making, attention to detail, tactical thinking, and clear communication are crucial.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company processes, the Code of Conduct, and company values.
  • Drive project performance through active leadership to meet Purchasing Gate deliverables.
    • Manage the Project integration phase.
    • Excel in project scheduling management, creating visual time plans with clear risk identification.
    • Be accountable for sourcing performance and sourcing plans for projects.
    • Ensure supplier involvement in project activities.
    • Align material and tooling costs with project budget and cost engineering objectives.
    • Oversee Supplier Quality and Development (SQ&D) activities, including planning and executing parts (APQP, PPAP).
    • Manage parts planning/securement for projects.
    • Handle Cost change management, leading buyers through the Product Change Request (PCR) process.
  • Effectively manage Purchasing stakeholders, emphasizing project demands, targets, and time schedules.
  • Secure Purchasing resources for projects and provide performance inputs to relevant managers.
  • Lead project risk management from the Purchasing standpoint, including response and mitigation plans.
  • Escalate issues and input needed to deliver projects on agreed QDCF TSR using the proper escalation process.
  • Manage project reporting with dashboards to communicate project performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and global alignment of processes and procedures.
  • Inspire and lead the Projects team members within the organization.
  • Bring value to the organization and beyond.
