Job Description

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance and Assembly Technician is a key member of our production support team and is primary responsible for ensuring that support for all assembly machines is available as needed or as assigned. Support for all molding equipment and auxiliary equipment within the plant is available as needed or as assigned. Additionally, this may include other related day-to-day tasks related to production, assembly and maintenance or any additional tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  may include some of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintenance

• Takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor on assigned tasks daily.
• Assists with PMs on Molding Presses
• Learns how to trouble shoot on Molding Assembly Machines.

Assembly

•  Takes direction from the Lead Assembly Tech on assigned tasks daily.
• Assists with PMs on Assembly Machines

Cell Operator

• Learn to run all four cells in Lakeville to assist with breaks and to cover for vacations and call outs.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid Forklift Certification. 
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Basic understanding of a machine operator and plastic injection molding.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Individual must have ability to reach with arms extended and/or overhead, excellent, hand dexterity, ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and similar activities.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs and production schedules.
• Employees must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 65 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time.
