Who we are looking for:
First Eagle Investments is seeking to hire an Analyst or Associate to join their International Wealth Solutions team, which supports the business development and client service efforts for ~$10 billion in assets under management. This position is based in Munich, Germany and will focus on non-US relationships. This entry-level position will provide the individual with broad exposure to the wealth management and investment management business and the strategies that First Eagle offers. The role also provides the foundation and skills necessary for potential growth into a variety of future positions, e.g. in client service or business development.
What you will do:
Source data for marketing materials for meetings with clients, prospects, and investment consultants
Prepare portfolio analytics
Conduct competitive analysis on product strategies, trends in the marketplace, conference presentations, and other related materials to assist in the sales process
Conduct research on wealth managers to assist with proactive outreach
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual client reporting
Source data for and respond to ad hoc requests from third-party distributors, clients, prospects, and investment consultants (e.g., performance, attribution, portfolio data, stock commentary)
Coordinate and assemble presentation materials for meetings with third-party distributors, clients, prospects and investment consultants
Be a member of the First Eagle Amundi team and help strengthen the strategic partnership with Amundi, First Eagle’s long-term retail distribution partner outside the US
Help maintain updated information in the team’s CRM system so that team always has accurate information on meeting activities and pipeline status
Interface and cultivate strong relationships with internal teams at First Eagle, including investment teams, marketing, IT, compliance, and operations
Serve as backup for fellow Analysts/Associates during absences or periods of uneven workflow
The qualities you should have:
An undergraduate degree in finance, business or related field, with at least 3 months of financial services experience or relevant internships
A demonstrated passion for learning about financial markets, investment strategies, and companies
English language proficiency required; other European languages welcomed
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); programming languages a plus
Willingness to travel to New York as required
Self-starting, entrepreneurial and resourceful–someone who “makes it happen” with a “can-do” attitude
A strong work ethic that accommodates last-minute projects and other urgent needs of the team that require non-standard work hours
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A collegiate and collaborative team player
