Position Overview:
We are seeking a Regional Safety & Compliance Director to oversee and enhance the quality, safety, and compliance of our early childhood education programs. The Regional Safety & Compliance Director is responsible for ensuring that our centers are safe places of early education for children and staff and meet all state regulations. By conducting audits, tracking and reporting data insights, providing staff training, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and managing crisis response, we will maintain a safe and enriching environment for young children and staff.
The Regional Safety & Compliance Director will embrace Magical Beginnings vision: “With Care, We Care” in leading best-in-class safety, quality, and compliance practices at existing schools, as well as supporting the successful integration and improvement initiatives at acquired schools. Up to 80% required travel to all schools within the portfolio across the New England and Mid-Atlantic region.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Leadership · Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to early childhood education settings, driving excellence and consistency in safety and compliance practices.· Lead the creation, implementation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) of best-in-class safety and compliance measurement systems across all centers, existing, new, and acquired. · Establish measurement frameworks, KPIs, procedures, and tools to ensure the collection, monitoring, and reporting of actionable insights, aligning with industry standards and organizational goals. Safety and Compliance Culture & Performance· Actively collaborate with regional, center and cross-functional leadership teams to foster a culture of safety and compliance across all sites.· Provide guidance, coaching, and training to center managers and educators, empowering them to become proactive safety and compliance leaders within their roles.· Conduct regular site visits, audits, and assessments to monitor program quality and ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., NAEYC, QRIS), and health and safety guidelines.· Ensure all early childhood programs comply with state licensing regulations, accreditation requirements (e.g., NAEYC, QRIS, ITERS, ECERS), and health & safety guidelines. Risk Mitigation and Incident Response· Coordinate with local center leadership on the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across all sites, ensuring potential hazards are proactively addressed.· Investigate all non-compliances thoroughly, utilizing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions that will support enhance safety across the portfolio.· Develop and implement comprehensive response plans to address non-compliances, ensuring measures are in place to prevent recurrence; this may include the development and scaled implementation of organizational policies.· Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions, updating processes and policies as needed to sustain long-term compliance and mitigate future risks. Driving Technological Innovation and Operational Excellence· Champion the identification and implementation of cutting-edge, user-friendly technologies that empower local centers to achieve operational efficiency and elevate safety and compliance standards.· Lead the adoption of streamlined solutions for incident reporting, tracking, and analysis, enabling local teams to take control of their processes and reduce incidents effectively.· Be a proactive leader in leveraging data-driven tools to optimize risk mitigation strategies, fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all centers.
