Retail Advice and Solutions (RAS) is looking for an Associate Manager, Planning Analysis to join the team. RAS is an organization focused on delivering advice and guidance to a broader range of customers thru 3,000 financial advisors to meet customers' financial needs and assist them in achieving financial goals.

The Retail Advice and Solutions (RAS) Finance team is responsible for:

  • Providing RAS Distribution partners with insightful and actionable analytics to help drive growth strategy and deliver aspirational economic goal.
  • Providing thought leadership and go beyond traditional financial analysis to drive decision-making and strategic thinking. Support RAS management’s understanding of our financial results.
  • Developing RAS sales and financial forecasts, key drivers, forecast assumptions, analytics and annual planning through collaboration with business partners.
  • Oversight of preparation and analysis of sales, revenue, variable distribution expenses and business drivers in support of QRRP and MYFC Presentation.
  • Fostering partnerships with distribution channel leads and their teams in driving profitable sales growth
  • Developing and support various distribution strategic and transformational business cases for projected new growth and/or cost efficiencies
  • Identifying efficiencies and process improvements, enhancing controls and documentation to allow more time for insightful analytics
  • Working closely with our business partners to ensure RAS success in achieving a strong cost discipline across all functions
  • Supporting Business Unit, Corporate and Enterprise initiatives
  • Enhancing talent and bench strength through employee development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion


As the Associate Manager, you will be involved in the processes for reporting, analyzing, and forecasting RAS Distribution economics. You will also work on strategic business cases and will assist, from a financial perspective, in the launch of new and innovative business initiatives. Frequent interaction with business partners and other areas within Life Finance is expected.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Lead RAS’ quarter close process thru partnering with FSS, Controllers and C&O, prepare RAS quarterly P&L and create Firm Level P&L statements.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and provide financial analysis to support the ongoing execution of growth strategy and other business case/transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct producer and product margin analysis on quarterly and annual basis in support of forecast and planning process as well as field compensation re-pricing.
  • Maintain RAS sales, revenue and variable expense tracking files and forecast models.
  • Responsible for quarterly legal entity reporting and forecasting, and support quarterly enterprise forecast submissions.
  • Assist with accounting and operational aspects of flow of funds for the new broker-deal operation.
  • Continue to seek efficiency and improvements in the financial close processes.
  • Continually develop and evaluate new value-add tools to measure Prudential Advisors’ economic


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4-6 years of experience in in Planning & Analysis and/or Financial reporting of business line results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence indirect reporting relationships and business partners
  • Highly motivated and creative/strategic thinker
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to succeed both independently and as part of team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
